When and where
02 Nov 2025, 10:30 am – 1:00 pm
Woorim Rotary Park near Sixth Avenue, North St, Woorim QLD 4507, Australia
About the event
Get ready for a fun and inspiring day at the BIEPA Giant Turtle event — where art, nature, and community come together to celebrate our island’s most beloved marine visitors!
There’ll be fun turtle-riffic activities where the kids can:
Meet Carrie our life-size loggerhead turtle
Decorate your own mini-hatchling
Add tile to the turtle mosaic
Measure yourself against the Turtle Totem
PLUS MORE!
Visit the information stalls to learn about turtle life cycles, nesting beaches, and what we can all do to help — from picking up litter to driving carefully on the sand — to keep Bribie’s beaches safe for turtles and hatchlings. Grab a coffee or cold drink from the coffee van, meet local conservation volunteers, and join in the excitement as the crowd is welcomed and gathers to create the giant turtle formation on the beach — a spectacular symbol of community care for our ancient mariners.
