Clean Up Australia Day 2026

Join us in this important annual cleanup event to remove litter and other hazards to wildlife from the environment on and around Bribie Island. Our cleanup events are enjoyable, sociable, and the results are very satisfying!

About the event
Bribie Island Environmental Protection Association Inc (BIEPA) extends an invitation to members of the public to join us in this important annual clean up event.
We'll be cleaning up along Hornsby Rd, east of the yellow boom gate, including Dux Creek crossing and within the boundary of the adjoining land managed by the Joondaburri People of the Kabi Kabi Nation.
Anyone volunteering is encouraged to wear sturdy shoes, long pants, long sleeve shirt, gloves, hat and sunscreen. If you have a collection bag or bucket please bring it along. There will be some equipment available including gloves, buckets, bags and litter pickers.
Volunteers are requested to meet just east of the yellow boom gates on Hornsby Rd. Given the time of day, there should be suitable parking in adjoining car park (enter off Hornsby Rd, just before yellow boom gates).
Registering here will assist us in preparing for this event and allow us to communicate any changes due to weather etc.
