Installing bird roosts and shellfish reefs in Pumicestone Passage

Volunteer Marine Rescue boat ramp, 4 Marine Parade, Bellara QLD 4507, Australia

About the event

Our fledling Oyster Reef Restoration team, a partnership between BIEPA and OzFish, will be installing these bird roosts in Pumicestone Passage under the expert guidance of Robbie Porter from OzFish. Some BIEPA members may remember Robbie's fascinating talk on the importance of shellfish reefs to the health of coastal marine environments.

There is only space for nine in Robbie's boat, but you are welcome to bring your own boat to join in. Please register if you are definitely coming so we can estimate numbers and send you reminders and updates.

Important: Please wear a hat and sun-safe clothing that you don't mind getting wet and dirty.
