...find out why, when you meet zoologist, bird lover and solo pilot Milly Formby, for an afternoon of wildlife, and adventure!
Learn all about Milly, her shorebird passion and why it is she's chosen to fly her tiny aircraft all the way around Australia!
MIlly is dedicated to the protection of shorebirds, and is pulling out all stops to raise awareness of these tenacious flyers, who fly 12,000km from the Arctic to over-summer here, with roost sites on Bribie, at nearby Toorbul and on other important Ramsar-listed sites around Moreton Bay.
This is a fundraising event for Wing Threads supported by BIEPA's Securing Shorebirds Project.
Tickets from $5 per person / $10 for a family – includes light afternoon tea.
