Monthly Public Meeting

After an acknowledgement of country and a summary of news since the last meeting, our President will introduce the Guest Speakers.

We’re pleased to welcome guest speakers Diana Virkki and Chelsea Kluske from Healthy Land & Water who will provide an overview of their work across the region. They will explain their role in delivering Ramsar wetlands projects, and explore how these initiatives support migratory shorebirds in Moreton Bay. This is a valuable opportunity to hear directly about current science, management actions, and how these efforts connect to local conservation priorities.

Then, after an essential break for tea and biscuits, we'll have a few Riveting Talks from other members on current projects and hot topics. You are all very welcome to stay afterwards for a chat at the bar downstairs. Take this opportunity to meet your fellow BIEPA members and find out how you can help BIEPA achieve its mission.

Important: If you are a BIEPA member and would like to give a short talk, please contact the management committee well in advance (at least a week) so that we can plan the meeting properly. We cannot accept requests on the night as they take time away from those who made an effort to prepare in advance, and inevitably cause the meeting to overrun.
