Wallum Walk with Ben
Join keen botanist Ben Timmings of Gondwana Surveys on an educational walk through wallum heathland to learn about the unique plants and wildflowers that flourish on and around Bribie Island.

When and where
19 Aug, 3:00 pm – 3:45 pm
BIEPA stall in the Arts Centre carpark, 191 Sunderland Dr, Banksia Beach QLD 4507, Australia
About the event
Get educated and entertained on a stroll alongside the unique wallum heathland around Bribie Island. Learn about the tough plants that thrive in the swampy native habitat. Meet the carnivorous plants that supplement the meagre nutrients in the sandy soil by capturing and digesting insects.
The proceeds are split between Gondwana Surveys and BIEPA so you will be helping to raise funds for our other projects, as well as raising awareness of this area's unique wallum plant life.
Important: The locations may vary, ticket holders will be notified of any changes by email.
Please bring your ticket with the QR code (on your phone or printed) so we can check in everyone quickly. Wear footwear and clothes suitable for a bushwalk, and be sun-safe of course. See you there!
