World Migratory Bird Day: Wooden Boat Festival
As the wooden boats come in to Toorbul, learn about the migratory shorebirds that are leaving the Toorbul Roost on their 12,000km journey to the Arctic.

About the event
Toorbul & Donnybrook Seniors Club will have a World Migratory Bird Day information table in the shade of the cottonwood tree in the park by the boat ramp at Toorbul. Come along and have a conversation with locals to learn about the endangered species of shorebird that rest at the roost and feed on the mudflats at Toorbul. Hear about the incredible journeys they make annually, and why the roost at Toorbul is so important for their survival.
