“ A Volunteer is a person whose work is unpaid, but whose contribution is priceless.”

Attributed to Sherry Anderson.

A Note of thanks to our incredible volunteers

We often talk about the natural beauty of Bribie Island, its surrounding communities and the Pumicestone Passage, but the truth is, that beauty wouldn't be the same without the tireless hands and voices of our volunteers.

Whether you are:

  • Advocating for the protection of our shorebirds and turtles,

  • Monitoring the health of our waterways, flora and fauna,

  • Removing invasive species and rubbish,

  • Creating habitat,

  • Educating the community,

  • Fundraising to power our projects, or

  • Lobbying for the preservation of our unique coastal environment,

we see you and we thank you!

Your work often happens behind the scenes—in meetings, on the beach at dawn, or in the thick of the bush—but the impact is visible everywhere we look. You are the voice for those who don’t have one, ensuring that Bribie and surrounds remains a sanctuary for future generations.

Thank you for your tireless energy, your expertise, and your unwavering commitment to our precious environment. You are essentially the ecological heartbeat of the region. We are incredibly lucky to have you in our corner.

Happy National Volunteer Week!
