Queensland National Parks have advised that weather conditions are suitable on Wednesday 15 April to undertake their first planned burn in the Bribie Island National Park for this year.

The block being burned is away from town, but smoke may still be visible. If you are ever concerned about smoke, you can always check the Qld Fire Department Incident Dashboard for up-to-date info.

National Park visitors should always check Park Alerts prior to visiting the park. The burn is planned for the block inland from Mermaid (3rd Lagoon).

More info about the planned burn season on Bribie can be found here in a recent News post.
