About the event
This month, after the usual welcome and quick updates, we have Robbie Porter from OzFish as guest speaker.
Robbie will be talking about the Shellfish Reef Restoration project, which aims to restore 100 hectares of shellfish reef in Moreton Bay over the next 10 years. This kind of restoration will do more than simply improve water quality in the bay; it will rejuvenate aquatic life, improve fishing and seagrass habitat and return the bay back to its former glory.
After the break, we'll have short talks from members on the successful Wonders of the Wallum walks, the upcoming Queen's Platinum Jubilee Planting event, and other volunteering opportunities.
