From 6th July 2022 our trusty biepa.org website will be absorbed into this website, bringing all the important information under one roof.
We're doing this to simplify the experience for members and visitors, and also to simplify administration for the management committee.
From that date, whether you go to biepa.org or biepa.online, you'll come to this website. Hopefully. 🤞🏼
Everything under one roof
Having a single website makes it easier to design an intuitive user experience. No more switching between websites; everything should be seamless. And if it isn't, please let us know and we can work on making it so!
This also makes things easier for the management committee, as we only have one website to administer, and one administration tool to learn. We can also take advantage of a bunch of ready-made Wix features we can easily drop into our website, like we did with the Blog, Events, and Shop pages.
From broadcast to on-demand
We're changing the way BIEPA communicates to make it easier for you to focus on what interests you. We want to reduce the amount of email you have to consume, and let you come to the website to find what you're interested in, when it suits you.
It's a bit like the transition from broadcast TV to catch-up TV. Rather than broadcasting everything out by email, you can get what you need from the website on-demand, when you need it. And what's on the website is always up to date; we don't need to keep emailing out corrections when things change.
If we rely heavily on email, our emails can get buried under everything else in your inbox — and if you miss an email, you miss out. We can also get blocked by email service providers if we send out too many emails — it looks like we're sending spam.
Come and get it
Now all our information should be available on the website, and you always see the most up to date information, so you can just drop by any time to find out what you need to know:
Want to hear interesting news from other members? Check out the Blog page, and filter by category or search for words.
Want to know what events are coming up? Head over to the Events page and browse the upcoming events or scroll through the calendar.
Need to get some details of a particular event? Find the event on the Events page and open it up to see details and let us know you're coming so that you get notified about any changes.
Fancy some BIEPA bling? Enter the online Shop and buy products, then pick them up from the market stall or at the next meeting.
Interested to see who else is a member? Login to the website (so we know you're a member) and open the Members page to see all our lovely faces — assuming we've all uploaded a photo!
Want to check your membership details? Select the My Membership option from the profile menu (top-right corner of every page) to manage your own BIEPA membership. You can also update your contact details from a tab on this page.
Hopefully you get the idea. You won't have to wait for the next monthly members' meeting to keep up to date with what's going on.

To make this work for all members, we need your feedback. If something isn't working well, or you see something broken, please let us know with as much detail as possible. Tell us what you did, and what you saw, ideally with screenshots.
